Hello,
I’m Marinus van der Wal, software engineer with 20+ years of experience in all kinds of different industries. Back in 1996 I graduated as electrical engineer, specialized in medical equipment on the HTS of Leeuwarden. Because of a lack of job opportunities at that time I soon made the switch to the ICT business, that was booming and still is.
I started my working life at the ING Group as junior at the ICT Helpdesk, learned a lot of programming skills in the mean time, ran a database publishing software business together with a partner, and currently I’m mainly developing GUI applications for controlling and monitoring Laser Marking Systems, integrated in production lines that are used for traceability of products during their life cycle.
A positive, creative and curious mindset is what drives me. Recently I discovered Lean Manufacturing and its opportunities for industrial software development.
